About the collection:

The Les Paul early stoneware collection contains items from every important center in Germany. There is a complete and separate chapter on the stoneware production for all of the following cities or pottery centers:

The book is not about a non-representative collection. The collection was in fact, formed to make the book. Any collection will display some uniqueness, but for 25 years the collector added only steins that would help to educate other stein collectors.

There are examples of extremely expensive steins, but the Les Paul collection also includes very affordable early stoneware steins that are commonly available to the average collector.
